La’Porsha Renae and Trent Harmon pose for a photo together on the red carpet before hitting the stage at the series finale of American Idol on Thursday (April 7) in Hollywood.
The two finalists opened up the show by singing the classic song “It Takes Two,” the same song that the first final two – Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini – sang on the first season finale.
“Hey @JustinGuarini remember when they told us we were gonna sing this duet right before the show started 14 years ago hahaha!! #idolfinale,” Kelly tweeted during the performance.
